My New Years eve consisted of sipping wine and playing with my new camera before my bestie and her family arrived to ring in the New Year. It’s a Nikon 3200 don’t know much about it yet and have been using it in auto mode but I plan on taking a class. All I can say is it beats my iphone:) Thanks hubby and Mom in law….Love it! While playing with my camera I thought I’d share just a little of my Christmas decor before it all gets boxed away. I told myself over and over this year I was not going to decorate a bunch….yeah you guessed it I couldn’t help it. But I can say I only have one tree this year although it’ s so big it could have been two! This is just some pictures of my family room…my favorite place in our house. I also played around with picmonkey a free photo editing site online. I’m not great at it so bare with me while I learn:)
I took all these pictures at night but you get the idea. I did a tree with a mixture of my ornies and the kids and I got more compliments on my tree. And in the end I liked it too:)
Again, the photos are dark but it is really nice in here right now with the candles lit and christmas lights…trust me:)
My hutch that I purchased at Antiques by the Bay in Alameda and I love! This is the second thing I ever purchased that I actually wanted in my home:) It’s a keeper
My Ironstone pitchers, silverplate and bottle brush trees
My console all festive
This is a ironstone sugar bowl I bought for me a couple days ago I just loved all the crazing. I placed it with the two butter pats I bought on my trip to Remnants of the Past show and this sweet handmade ornament that I bought in Kansas at All Dolled Up for MMS Milk paint retailer training.
Looking back 2013 was interesting and seemed to fly by and I’ve realized a few things. One I need to be more present I seem to always be in a mode of “what next” instead of “what is right now”. Second I need to start being much more clear about my goals and put them in writing… so hey maybe they will actually come to fruition. And lastly, I need to trust! Trust the process, trust myself and more than anything trust in my heavenly father. I know those are some vague goals. I will get more clear in the weeks to come and share. I am planning on taking a “me” day soon to set some goals and be with God….I really need it.
I know I have said time and again I am going to post this or that but this year 2014 that will all change and you WILL be seeing many more posts with workshop dates, giveaways and tutorials I have great things coming this year!
